Remembering the Women of the Confederacy

When we were asked to spearhead a project to honor the Women of the South at the new SCV Confederate Museum, we were delighted to help.  Money was raised by all of the state societies to provide 2 benches in the "garden" area to be enjoyed by visitors to the museum.  The slide show is a story of how Lafayette Monument Company created them and the processes involved.   (The first pic should be Jessica doing the lay-out on the computer, that makes the template, it just wouldn't upload.) The inscription on the benches reads:  “Our Southern women... without whose bravery and fortitude... without whose love... without whose endurance and sacrifice... not a man among us can stay the course... or defend the Cause.”  General Robert E.
